What filers get caught by here
- No local forms required at filing; the court's local forms list has no civil case-initiation forms.
- ADR Information Package (2024) is posted on the Civil Division page but neither the packet nor Local Rule 4.01 states it must be served with the summons; service requirement found only for the Notice of CMC. Court offers no mediation, neutral evaluation or arbitration program; only judge-run settlement conferences.
- Initial CMC set on first CMC calendar no earlier than the 90th day after case initiation; CM-110 statement due 5 calendar days before every CMC (Local Rule 4.01(4)); service and proof of service within 60 days, no stipulated extensions beyond CRC 3.110 (Local Rule 4.01(2)).
- No e-filing: paper filing; original must be organized, two-hole punched and stapled with the appropriate number of copies or the clerk cannot accept it (Civil Division FAQ). Fax filing accepted at $1.00 per page but original signatures must follow.
- Fee waiver: standard FW-001; clerk authorized to grant qualifying applications.
